Paul works for iPS as an Adaptive Strength & Conditioning Specialist and Physiotherapy Assistant. He joined our team in 2024.
Paul has over 20 years’ experience working as a Strength & Conditioning Coach with elite athletes and private individuals. He has developed additional skills and qualifications over the past few years, including Nutritional and Mental Health Coaching.
Everyone who meets Paul comments on his friendly nature and his infectious enthusiasm, which is why he was head-hunted by iPS in 2023 to train on our ‘Adaptive Strength & Conditioning / Physiotherapy Assistant Programme’. His personality inspires trust and motivation, which is essential to get the best out our patients who have life-changing injuries or conditions.
In his relatively short time with iPS, Paul has already gained so much experience working alongside our specialist physiotherapists. It is fair to say he is already hooked and loves his new role. He has enjoyed working with patients following spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, traumatic amputation, extensive orthopaedic injuries and many more. Coming from an elite sporting background, Paul brings a different perspective to our rehab team, and he has been a breath of fresh air. We are very excited to help him develop his ‘Adaptive’ Strength & Conditioning and physiotherapy assistant skills over the coming years. Paul has enabled iPS to start offering a new service – Nutritional Coaching. This is already proving extremely valuable to some of our patients with life changing injuries, either to help them build lean muscle and strength or to support them in losing excess weight.
Paul has always enjoyed a wide range of sports including swimming, rugby, trail running, hiking, and weight training. His current passion is functional fitness competitions and endurance challenges.
