Meet Richard,
We were extremely pleased that Richard chose to join our team, as he came to us with a very strong academic grounding and personal recommendation.
Prior to completing his Masters Degree in Physiotherapy at Cardiff University, Richard qualified as with a degree in Sport Conditioning Rehabilitation and Massage at Cardiff Met. In addition to this he has worked as a personal trainer for many years. This exceptionally strong background in movement analysis and exercise based rehabilitation will stand him in good stead when working with patients with a wide range of injuries and conditions. Especially patients with Life-Changing Injuries and Sports Injuries.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys a wide range of sports including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, weight training, field hockey and water sports.
Meet Gareth Tremain,
Gareth is the Director Physiotherapy at iPS.
Gareth is a very experienced physiotherapist, having qualified in 2002 from the University of Wales College of Medicine.
Gareth has undertaken Masters Degree level training in order to develop specialist skills. He is able to perform a wide range of Ultrasound-Guided Injections (including toes, feet, ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrist, hands and fingers). He uses Point of Care Ultrasound Scanning (POCUS) to enhance his physiotherapy assessments and guide his treatment. He is currently completing a PGCert in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Diagnostic Ultrasound Scanning at the University of Brunel, London. In addition to this, he is an Independent Prescribing Physiotherapist.
When Gareth is not in ultrasound injection clinics, you will find him utilising his Physiotherapy skills and expertise in Strength & Conditioning to help rehabilitate people with life-changing injuries/conditions in our specialist gyms, hydrotherapy pools or outdoors somewhere in South Wales.
Gareth loves watching and participating in a range of sports. He also loves spending time walking on the coast or in the mountains with his family.
